Booster Pump Issue
This job was a call out to inspect a pressure pump leaking.
A leaking pressure pump indicates that a valve has broken and is letting water escape. On investigation our pump engineer tested the pump and found that the pump achieved and held pressure. When the valve was depressed water escaped, not air. Further investigation found the booster tank had failed and was full of water. In addition the pressure vessel was mounted horizontally – this was modified so the vessel could be mounted vertically.
Booster pumps are used to increase the pressure in a water system. Typically installed at the beginning of the distribution system, booster pumps can be used to create more water pressure as and when required. If you have high water usage, a booster pump will help to improve flow rate, particularly when water needs to be raised above ground level. We supply, install and service booster pumps for domestic, commercial and industrial applications.
