Alton Pumps Ltd can offer a turnkey service to customers and clients who need a pumping station on their premises. From conception to completion, we manage the entire project. Our pump engineers share 50+ years of experience and have the skills required to build stations to a bespoke specification. Located in Hampshire, we install pump stations in all London areas and the Home Counties. Regions covered by Alton Pumps include Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Dorset, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex and Wiltshire.
And, because aftercare is just as important to our company as sales, we’ll still be there many years into the future helping you with your pump servicing, maintenance and repair needs.
It is easiest to think of a pumping station as an installation that moves fluid from one place to another. It can supply a canal with water, work as part of a sewage treatment system, or drain land in an area with low elevation. Some pumping stations play a role in agriculture, draining boggy soil to make land arable for farming. It is normal to consider a pump station installation if drainage by gravity isn’t an option.
While it is rare for pump engineers to build a station on elevated land, pump stations will often pump water from a low elevation area to a high elevation area.
By using pressure to overcome gravity, pump stations move water at a specified flow rate. An electrical controller manages the water flow, but pump engineers have to consider system dimensions, additional parts, elevation levels and anything else that might impact the water pressure. Data must be concise and produced to a bespoke project specification.
Our pump supply and servicing experience puts us in good stead for installations of any size, anywhere in Hampshire or the surrounding Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Dorset, Hertfordshire, London, Oxfordshire, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex and Wiltshire areas.
If you use an inexperienced company to install a pumping station and wastewater leaks into the watercourse as a result of poor workmanship, you share responsibility under current binding rules and wastewater treatment regulations. The performance of a station has critical sensitivity to the environment. Only trust experienced pump engineers with an installation, be it domestic, commercial or industrial.
We supply packaged above or below-ground pump and wastewater stations, designed to the specification you need.
