Earlier this week Alton Pump Services were proud to be part of the track day event held at Castle Combe to help raise funds for SSAFA (Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association) – the Armed Forces charity. SSAFA are a UK charity that provides lifelong support to serving men and women and veterans from the British Armed Forces and their families or dependents.
Stuart Stimson who is taking part in the ‘Rally For Hero’s’ event which raises money for SSAFA said:
‘Fantastic day today at Castle Combe fundraising for SSAFA. £1,655.25. A massive shout out to Tom Carter for helping to set this up and allowing us to gate crash his Track Day event. Jason Horn and his staff from Alton Pump services, AJ Land Rover and Alton 4×4 who not only gave us loads of support but ran it as corporate event and treated us all as guests, not to mention a nice big donation on top, which was match by David Rudelhoff and his company Luxuria Properties and Landscaping. Also a few RFH comrades Hans Kaashoek, Phil Edwards, Martin Smith.’
Alton Pump Services MD, Jason Horn, took to the circuit which has been shared by the likes of Sir Stirling Moss, James Surtees, Damon Hill and David Coulthard. The track’s 1.85 miles are regarded as having some of the most challenging corners in British motorsport, and we are pleased to say both the car and Jason returned intact.
A big thank you to everyone that joined us at this very special event.
